CarmichaelUK staff and directors were absolutely delighted to spend a fun and fishy afternoon helping to deliver an 'Under the Sea' themed Family Fun Day for Bucks Young Carers yesterday.
Over one hundred lovely young carers and their lovely families whooped it up celebrating and enjoying themselves at Burcott Recreation Ground. Amusements included bonkers bouncing on the inflatables, fishing in the briny sunken canoes, aquatic treasure hunts, tussling with soggy salty sumo wrestlers, oceanic art, crafty deep-sea creativity, and pampering from the new wave nail painters. And of course, just to make sure that the watery theme continued, the staff had to walk the plank at the end of the day…
Sometimes, these events are the only chance that some of the young carer families can go out together as a family and we were privileged to be involved. CarmichaelUK staff and directors are grateful to the Bucks Young Carers organisation for allowing us to be part of the team providing this fishy festival of fun and frivolity and we look forward to working in partnership again next time.
