CarmichaelUK staff and directors were delighted to spend the afternoon helping to deliver a "Wild Western" themed Family Fun Day for Bucks Young Carers last week.
Over two hundred lovely young carers and their lovely families whooped it up celebrating and enjoying themselves at Burcott Recreation Ground. Amusements included bonkers bouncing on the inflatables, gold treasure hunts, tussling with sumo wrestlers, arts and crafts, smoothie making and more!
These events can be the only chance that some of the Young Carer families can go out together as a family and we were privileged to be involved. CarmichaelUK staff and directors are grateful to the Bucks Young Carers organisation for allowing us to be part of the team providing this fishy festival of fun and frivolity and we look forward to working in partnership again next time.
Throughout the day volunteers were busy pampering carers, making delicious smoothies and facilitating games. Throughout the day we heard many compliment from families about how well organised the day was, what a great opportunity it is and how the attention to detail was amazing.
Carers Bucks and all our carers are appreciative for this opportunity. An opportunity that couldn’t happen without the financial backing and the time given by Carmichael staff.
