At CarmichaelUK we have a dedicated Compliance department based at our Oxfordshire office who are responsible for ensuring that each contractor we engage is fully certified and competent to carry out their role on site. Our Compliance department start liaising with contractors prior to their start date to ensure that they are aware of the right to work documentation, academic and skills certifications, insurances, and tickets they will be required to evidence before they commence on site.
All of our record keeping is stored digitally and encrypted for security purposes. Contractors are able to upload their documentation to our online compliance portal and can view their records at any time using their secure portal access information. Expiries are routinely managed by our software and our Compliance department stay in close contact with our contractors to make sure that they know and understand their obligations in respect of working safely and legally.
Our Compliance department is responsible for managing our obligations in respect of safety critical work and fatigue management. Additionally, they manage our company accreditations, making sure that as a company we are discharging our responsibilities appropriately. They routinely undertake internal and client audits, and oversee our internal and external safety advisors and trainers.
Need a CSCS card?
All personnel who work on a construction site in the United Kingdom must possess a valid CSCS card. The CSCS card is evidence that the individual has undertaken appropriate training in health and safety and understands the risks present on a construction site. It confirms that the individual is competent and does not pose a risk to fellow colleagues.
At our approved in-house CSCS Testing Centre in our London office we can offer CSCS tests to candidates who need to obtain a CSCS card or update an existing one.
