The company

Our client backed by their parent company which is one of the largest infrastructure companies in the world is a looking for a Senior Site Agent / Area Operations Manager to join them on projects in the Cumbria region in the north of England.

The role

Our client is a specialist in highway and motorway maintenance working on local government schemes. We require Senior Site Agents to oversee a chosen geographical area on works in the region of £15M in value.
The main purpose of this role will be to manage all planning and programming activity and to deliver, in whole, the entire package of works to include highway / seasonal maintenance, surfacing, grounds maintenance, street lighting etc.
You will have overall responsibility for one of 3 key areas reporting into the Operations Manager. You will be required to manage and liaise with all external clients and strive to develop relationships with prospective clients. Forecasting to ensure the delivery of at least £15M in turn over per annum within greed margins is a key competence in this role.
This is a senior position and the successful delivery is crucial to the continued development of the business area.

Candidate requirements

*Candidates should have a minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent and be working towards a relevant degree qualification
*SMSTS 5 day course
*Relevant CSCS Card
*NRSWA
*Commercial awareness and a sound and practical understanding of P&L
*Managing teams in excess of 100 personnel through at least 10 direct reports
