The Company

A excellent opportunity exists with one of the UK's leading civil engineering contractors, operating in the UK and internationally. They work for a wide client base of both public sector bodies and private companies, carrying out a variety of major high value civil and infrastructure projects. They have been a major force in the industry over the last 12 months and have won a large share of those major projects that have been awarded.

The role

They are looking for Intermediate and Senior Quantity Surveyors with experience of major highway / motorway construction. You will liaise with clients and subcontractors ensuring all accounts are settled and resolve any issues on final accounts. Depending on your seniority you will also be responsible for the management of the QS team.

The candidate

*Proven knowledge and experience of major civil highway / motorway projects
*Demonstrates knowledge and experience of NEC contracts
*Sound understanding of Budget control and cost management
*Understands drawing measurements and specifications
*Ability to prepare all documentation required for procurement, schedules and bills of quantities
*Comprehensive knowledge of cost variables
