Senior Piling Engineer - Bored Piling
Glasgow - Scotland
£21.50+ (depending on experience)

Our client requires a senior piling engineer for a major project based in Glasgow, Scotland. The has 1-1.5 years remaining and our client is looking for someone who is prepared to commit to the role for a significant time period.

About you

*Proficient with all site paperwork
*Able to liaise and manage sub-contractors and direct labour.
*Be able to work as part of a team and drive the project
*Confident with aspects of bored piling, earthworks and groundwork's

Responsibilities

*Supervision of Site Engineers and Foremen
*To maintain good working relationship with Resident Engineer and clients representative
*To ensure that the specification, drawings, contract and sub-contract documents contain sufficient and accurate information so that the works can proceed as per the programme
*To manage the Site Engineers so that the works are accurately and clearly set out before work is programmed to commence
*Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided
*Check works are completed as required by the specification
*To manage the installation of temporary works and safety on site
*Prepare short-term programmes as required
*Ensure that additional works and / or variations are notified for inclusion in the monthly valuations and provide comprehensive records
*Keep a full and accurate daily site diary
*Ensure that proper records are kept and carefully filed.
*Required to report directly to the Project Manager.


Requirements

*Previous experience in groundwork's and piling
*Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation
*Experience in implementing quality systems
*Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent

To fill this position you must have a drive to succeed, be confident and happy out on site and able to work un-supervised. We are not looking for someone that is going to try and run the job from the office, this is a site based position so you will be willing and happy to be mixing it on site.
