Site Engineers - Coastal - Up to 32K
Initially Blackpool, Lancashire

TIDAL WORKING
Candidates will be required to work on a tidal shift pattern, for example, this would typically involve a three week cycle of - early's, a week of normal and a week of late's. e.g.

Week 1 Mon start 04.30 moves on half an hour each day, so start on Friday would be 06.30 with a max. 10 hour shift each day

Week 2 Mon start 08.00 moves on half an hour each day, so start on Friday would be 10.00.

Week 3 Mon start 11.30 moves on half an hour each day, so start on Friday would be 13.30. The cycle is then repeated.

Contract hours at Blackpool permit working between 04.00 and midnight.

Tidal shift working attracts a premium salary rate, which usually equates to an additional approx. 15-20% of basic salary


Job Description

*Highly proficient in complex 'setting out' in various types of work
*Experience of setting up initial survey control for projects
*High knowledge regarding all main constructional tolerances
*Able to use Auto Cad setting out software and manipulate electronic setting out information and download to instruments
*Capable of understanding complicated drawings and rebar schedules
*Familiar with specification e.g. Spec. for Highway Works and core contract document e.g. Works Information
*To manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents of the project.

To HND Civil Engineering or Degree standard

*10 years civil engineering experience with a main contractor on large civil engineering projects preferred.
*Experience of working on a Coastal Project is an advantage
*Tidal shift working
*Initially Blackpool Central Sea Defence
