Senior Bridge Engineer

Our client is a large consulting and business services group that provides the design, managerial and engineering services that support our society.  The client aims to attract and retain high calibre staff based on their reputation for winning exciting new business, as well as by offering an exceptional working environment.

The Role:

The successful candidate will undertake the design of bridges for major infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas.  The role will involve managing graduate engineer and technician staff as well as taking direct responsibilty for delivery.  A varied and exciting role, you will be responsible for ensuring all work is completed within agreed budgets and timescales.  Intially the role is a 6 month contract with a view towards an ongoing position.

Candidate Requirements:

• A minimum of  a degree qualification in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Proven track record and experience in structural design
• Must be a Chartered Engineer with ICE, IStructE or equivalent
• Experience in the production of detailed designs for a large post tensioned bridges to British Standards and / or AASHTO
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to produce technical reports and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
