One of our more established UK contractors are looking for Senior Estimators for their new and ongoing contracts in and around London. The company itself has a long history in the South - East, well reknowned in the areas of heavy civils, Earth works, and roading.
Our client has picked up some high profile work throughout London, some of it Olympic related, and are need to expand their commercial department.
Key responsibilities include
- ensuring that preliminary information is obtained for all cost estimates undertaken on receipt of tender documents,
- evaluating and analysing methods,
- planning and programming, cost, risks and financial forecasts of the tender.
The successful candidate will also have to manage the organisation, allocation and coordination of information for tender support documentation in liaison with service departments, partners, subcontractors and suppliers. They will also have to produce fully documented, practical and competitive estimates for final agreement of senior management.
Requirements
- Experience with design and build projects
- Awareness of competitive costs for labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, preliminaries and design
- Minimum qualifications are an HNC/ HND
- Good communication and IT skills
