My client is one of the UK’s leading regional based civil engineering contractors, operating throughout most of England. They work for a wide client base of both public sector bodies and private companies, carrying out a variety of works including major highways, bridges, infrastructure and environmental schemes.
Main Duties
As Site Engineer you will be working very closely with the Section Engineer and Section Agent on a number of ongoing roading and infrastructure schemes. You will be providing technical information, including setting out and supervision of the activities which involved effectively managing other specialist sub-contracts, control and monitoring of safety in line with the method statements and risk assessments and company standards, and assisting with the compliance including Quality Systems.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
- Previous demonstrated experience in delivering technical information through on site setting out and supervision of construction activities
- A willingness and competency to take part in a site based role.
- Good communication and people skills
- A desire to progress within the Construction Industry.
