Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking for a new opportunity?  Please read on as this exciting opportunity  could be for you.

About the Role
It’s a varied workload that will involve you in everything from conducting geotechnical walk-over surveys, to liaising with design offices and contractors. In the office you’ll carry out pre-construction work design and desk studies, as well as post-construction reporting; on site you’ll be responsible for supervising construction. The role is offered on a contractual basis, but the opportunity exists for an extended contract for the right candidate.

About You
Equipped with a relevant degree (Geology, Civil Engineering or a Geotechnical subject), you’ll have supervised earthwork-construction projects before. You’ll have implemented Quality Assurance, Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems already – and will be strongly familiar with both soil parameters and the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges. Having a good understanding of earthwork slope stability analysis, foundation design and geotechnical ground investigations would also be a real advantage. Good report writing and general IT skills, however, are essential – as is having a driving licence and the requisite fitness to undertake work on site.

About Our Client
Our Client helps their clients in the public sector and regulated industry to provide everyday services to customers and communities. Their work is high-profile and hugely diverse, encompassing everything from a ground-breaking scheme to cool the London Underground, to the creation of Western Europe’s first carbon-fibre reinforced public highways bridge, and much more. The sheer scope of our business allows them to offer unrivalled opportunities for engineers. Whatever your area of expertise, you’ll be part of a rapidly-growing organisation with over 7,000 employees and ambitious plans to double in size by 2012. You can also expect great support and the chance to make real strides in your career.
