Playing a critical part in a £230m development at Felixstowe - the largest container port in the country - your skills will ideally have been tested on £10m+ value projects in the marine industry. Necessary expertise will centre on concreting and marine works piling, which you will have gained since achieving Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for production of budget and monitoring of costs
- Ensure Inspection and Test Plan or equivalent exists before sub-contractor starts work and that the relevant checks are carried out
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and monitor and control SHE performance on site
- Familiarity with project critical work path
- Ensure compliance with specification and design
- Ensure that records are kept for work performed, problems experienced, average labour force in each area, communications to/from client, sub-contractor and third parties
- Familiarity with and operation of the Project Environmental Plan
- Familiarity with programmes; ability to monitor and action progress
- Liaison with designers and project team
