The position of Paving Department Manager has become available due to internal promotion. It is based at the regional office and is reporting to the Surfacing Manager. This is a senior departmental manager position within the region.
The department undertakes all major asphalt paving operations for the region.
Duties:
The position involves the management of an established asphalt paving operation and includes:
- Tendering
- Contract management
- Customer and client liaison
- Subcontractor management
- Overall business and staff management
The department undertakes 50,000+ tonne of asphalt construction per year with a turnover in excess of $12m p.a. The paving department comprises 3 crews and encompasses all types of work including Airports, TNZ State Highways, and Local Authority roads as well as commercial and domestic work. An NZCE or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
