A Senior Estimator is required to work for one of Australia's main contractors in NSW to ensure timely and accurate estimating of a project's cost and to present the estimate to the company's senior management for their review.
Duties include:
- Acquiring complete and detailed understanding of a project's scope of work to ensure it is covered by the scope
- Coordinating and managing other estimators working on bids
- Providing feedback to designers on D&C bids to ensure tender designs are complete and competitive
- Ensuring estimates are structured so management and project delivery teams can understand and interrogate them
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as an Estimator, Project Manager or similar senior role on medium to large sized contracts
- An understanding of construction methodology in a number of different disciplines
- The ability to develop civil estimates from first principles
