Our client is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on major civil engineering contracts in London. Applicants should ideally have a background in structures, earthworks, general infrastructure or remediation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Procurement and management of sub contractors
- Processing sub contractor payments
- Assisting in preparing sub contractor enquiries
- Cost monitoring of site operations and indirect costs
- Remeasurement on site
- Preparation of cost reports and quarterly forecasts
- Managing the commercial programme of project and all contracual issues
You will report into the regional commercial manager who will provide guidance and supervision where necessary.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor position or similar
- Experience of producing cost reports, valuations and forecasts
- Some experience within Civil Engineering contracting companies
- Good IT skills
- Attention to detail
