Section Engineer - Civils/Rail - West Sussex - Permanent
Our Client:
Our Client is a multi-disciplinary main contractor working in the civil engineering, building, rail, waste to energy and infrastructure sectors. Heavy civil engineering is a core business including land remediation, highway construction as well as big presence in the rail sector
Their rail division is currently expanding after a successfully securing a Network Rail Maintenance Framework - valued over £200mil spanning a 4 year period, covering the South of the Country including London. The framework, which combines signalling, track and other civils works.

This particular project involves the construction of a new platform, new passing loop, extending the concourse, lift shafts, escalators, M&E. Works start on site immediately with ecology works, site investigations through until Christmas with the main construction starting in the new year.
The Position:
The role is for a Section Engineer to ensure accurate implementation of all engineering controls and compliance with the contract drawings and specification
Produce risk assessments and Work Package Plans and Task Briefs for safe execution of the works
Ensure work is executed in a safe manner meeting legal guidelines set out in health safety and requirements and environmental compliance
Assist in managing quality assurance
Contribute to our Perfect Delivery Culture
Prepare Project Management Plans
Prepare Health & Safety Plans
Prepare Environmental Plans
Prepare Work Package Plans

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
Must be from a Rail Civil Engineering background and have worked for a major contractor.
Must have a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
Previous experience working with Network Rail desirable
Must have strong communication skills
