Job Title: Piling and Foundation Civil Engineer – Top Tier Engineering Company
Location: New Zealand

Pay Rate: $90-$100k pa plus package (quoted in NZ currency).

Be part of the New Zealand construction boom which is being driven by redevelopment of the Canterbury area after the recent Earthquakes. A massive amount of development is happening as a result of the clean up operation in the Christchurch area which has resulted in a distinct shortage of engineering resource across both the North and South Islands of NZ.

Be involved within this development through working with a Main Contractor who are known as one of New Zealand’s leaders in construction.

The company has extensive exposure to the large capital works development across New Zealand and have sectors which cover build/construct, heavy civils, road maintenance and foundation works.

Main Duties
As a Piling and Foundation Civil Engineer you will be managing projects in a fast paced and demanding environment and will be reporting to roving contracts manager. You will be responsible for supervision of construction works, monitoring quality and H&S on the project, tracking all financials, planning and programming of works.
Requirements

The successful candidate will bring to the role;

5 years + Post Grad experience, and hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction.

Previous work history with a piling specialist within the UK or an Australasian market or have had previous experience working with piling with a main contractor.

A good understanding and demonstrative experience of all modern piling techniques including CFA, sheet, driven pre-cast and bored.

Ability to work in a demanding environment in challenging conditions.
