Commercial Manager - Nuclear / Civils

Our client a leading Civil Engineering contractor requires a Commercial Manager to work on one of its highly prestigious projects in the North West, based in Cumbria. You would have worked previously for a main civil contractor with similar experience.

You main duties will be:
• Provide leadership and management to the commercial team and promote a positive working culture
• Ensure all commercial team members have clear roles, responsibilities, accountability and authority levels
• Ensure there are adequate SQEP resources within the commercial team to meet the needs of the project.
• Completion of monthly steering group reports to the Project Manager
• Collaborate with all departments within the Partnership to assist them in meeting their accountabilities.
• Interface and point of contact with SL Contract Officer.
• Ensure robust subcontract financial management systems are in place
• Provide accurate reporting / forecasting in relation to costs & value
• Ensure that the Partnership complies with and adheres to the contract in relation to commercial matters.
• Subcontract accounts are placed and controlled in line with the procurement strategy
• Routine and regular commercial analysis
• Management of risk and opportunity
• Management of maintenance of change control
• Preparation, submission and agreement with SL of monthly valuations
• Analysis and review of AFC

Essential experience:
• Extensive complex multi-disciplinary experience
• Multi party contract experience
• IT literate
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Nuclear de-commissioning experience
• Working with international partners
• MRICS
