An outstanding opportunity exists for a Lead / Senior Planner to join a major player in the heavy civils sector. Against fierce competition they have recently won the tender to deliver a multifaceted tunnelling project in the region of £500m.
Part of a JV of leading civil contractors, the project will involve the construction of tunnels, the sinking of multiple shafts to connect with various pumping stations and the installation of all associated pumping equipment. This is a rare opening on one of the most significant infrastructure projects currently being undertaken in London and will require an exceptional individual, suitably qualified and experienced in this type of work.

Taking the lead role in the planning function you will be required to;

Effectively lead your team to ensure the most efficient use of project resources
Work closely with all teams in the JV to guarantee the programme delivery within tight financial and time constraints
Provide a complete reporting function to include programme updates, progress reports and forecast revisions
Set and monitor all progress performance indicators

Candidate requirements and key competences

Experience of Heavy Civils project under NEC form of contract
Previous Tunnelling experience a distinct advantage
Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Minimum HND / ONC
Primavera P6
Extensive project management, project controls and project planning experience
Clean, full UK driving licence
